RSVP for #FairPay Delivery
June 6 at 9:30 am I’m heading to Capitol Hill with a bunch of MomsRising staff, volunteers, kids and the Paycheck Fairness Coalition to deliver a message that says “There's nothing sweet about unfair pay. It's time to close the wage gap and pass the Paycheck Fairness Act.”
Join us! Friends, family and kids are all welcome!
Can you be there?
WHAT: Equal Pay Act 50th Anniversary Delivery
WHEN: Thursday, June 6, at 9:30 a.m.
WHERE: Cannon House Office Building Room 234 (Independence Avenue SE and 1st Street SE) (The nearest metro stop is Capitol South on the Blue Line)
WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: Wear comfortable shoes and red! Everyone will be wearing red to symbolize how the wage gap "puts women in the red." Bring your friends and kids!
We will be visiting offices of senators and representatives in small groups to deliver letters in support of the Paycheck Fairness Act (H.R. 377/S. 84), as well as packages of red M&Ms customized with the wage gap numbers – an anniversary memento with the message, “There's nothing sweet about unfair pay. It's time to close the wage gap and pass the Paycheck Fairness Act.”
