    He said what?!?!

    “You could argue that money is more important for men. I think a guy in their first job, maybe because they expect to be a breadwinner someday, may be a little more money-conscious." 

    That's what Wisconsin State Senator Glenn Grothman said to justify the repeal of the state's fair pay law. Ironically, he said that just days before Equal Pay Day 2012.  

    Moms and families know that Grothman is plain wrong. Women without children make 90 cents to a man's dollar, mothers make 73 cents to a man's dollar, and single moms make only about 60 cents to a man's dollar. Women of color experience increased wage cuts on top of that. That lost money is more critical than ever since more and more women are now the primary or co-breadwinners for their families. Money, most certainly is not "more important for men" as he says.

    It's time to make our voices heard: Women still need equal pay for equal work! Tell Congress: Make the Paycheck Fairness Act a priority!
