There's What in My Couch?!?!

We know toxic chemical flame retardants don’t belong in our homes or near our kids. That’s why the carcinogenic toxic flame retardant Tris was removed from kids pajamas several decades ago. But in a report released today, researchers found that this dangerous chemical appeared in a whopping 41% of couches they tested! Meanwhile, 17% of couches tested contained the globally-banned chemical pentaBDE and the rest had flame retardants that have not yet been adequately tested for human health impacts.

Our families deserve safe and healthy homes. Sign our petition to tell the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to issue their rule to increase fire safety without toxic flame retardants in furniture.
