Yikes! We've got to get a message to the City Council!
    Dear Friend –

Did you know that over 190,000 people working in Seattle don’t have a single paid sick day? Many work in our local restaurants and grocery stores, daycares, hotels, and even medical centers. That’s bad for our families, our businesses and public health.

I just sent a letter to the Seattle City Council urging them to pass a paid sick days ordinance and I hope you will too. It only took a moment and I know the City Council has to hear from real voters on this issue (not just the fat cats who oppose the idea)!

Here's where you can send your quick note: http://action.momsrising.org/letter/2011_May_Seattle_Paid_Sick_Days-Seattle-Coalition/?source=taf

Together we can have a healthier Seattle!

Seattle City Council: Keep families healthy!

The Seattle City Council is considering a proposal to ensure everyone working in Seattle can earn a minimum number of paid sick days on the job. But time is tight – and a few well-connected business lobbyists are trying to use their clout to take this discussion off the table.

Tell your Councilmembers to support healthy, responsible prevention now by introducing a paid sick days ordinance for Seattle in May, and giving it a public hearing in June!
