Send a Letter to the Editor about the Minimum Wage

Right now your members of Congress are home on August recess, enjoying their vacations and reconnecting with their districts.  One surefire way to get their attention while they are back in their districts is to submit a letter to the editor to your local newspaper.

We need your help to get their attention and let Congress know that when they return to Washington, D.C. in the fall raising the minimum wage needs to be a top priority. A letter to the editor can do that!

Here's how to send your letter:

    1) Fill in your name and contact information on this page in the form on the right-hand side. Important note: We ask for your phone number because papers require this info with all letters, but your phone will NOT be published or used by us in any way!

    2) When you get to the next screen, choose a newspaper for your letter -- and then SCROLL DOWN the page to see our sample letter that you can use.  If you want to use part, or all of that sample letter, just cut and paste the text into the small empty box to the right on that page. It's easy!

If you have questions, email Elyssa@momsrising.org for help!

Privacy Policy (the basics): We do not share the information you've given us with unaffiliated groups without your explicit permission. For petitions, letters to the editor, and surveys you've signed or completed, we treat your name, city, state, and comments as public information. We will not make your street address publicly available, but we may transmit it to members of Congress, the President, or other targets specifically noted on the signup page. We will send you updates on this and other important campaigns by email. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from our email list, you may do so. For our complete privacy policy, click here.
