Dear Senator,
Families need stability in their health care coverage! Our economy does too! Health care is the number one economic issue Americans are worried about right now, with half of Americans saying they worry about health care a lot.
People support the ACA. Don’t take it away. With the addition of the recent MacArthur Amendment, the bad American Health Care Act (AHCA) bill (that the CBO says will strip health coverage from 23 million people, gut Medicaid, and make coverage weaker or less affordable for millions more) has only gotten worse. Stripping out requirements for wildly popular provisions of the Affordable Care Act like eliminating protections for pre-existing conditions and Essential Health Benefits standards will result in creating barriers for millions more families to access the quality, affordable health care coverage our lives depend on. This hurts our economy and families alike!
Not on our watch! The AHCA is a threat to our children, families and economy—and the moms and dads of America will not stand for it!
Meanwhile, support for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is at its highest since it passed in 2010. The American people overwhelmingly want to keep the progress we’ve made in our health care coverage. Don’t repeal the Affordable Care Act! Keep the protections we’ve gained in recent years.
I am writing to implore you to reject the American Health Care Act (AHCA)! Keep the ACA in place. Don’t take our families’ health care away!
