Breaking Bad News: The anti-family, anti-worker, anti-economy initiative (backed by Brian Heywood) just announced they have enough signatures to get on the November ballot. This initiative, if passed, would give the ultra wealthy a tax break and leave Washington families footing the bill for the things we need to thrive: health care, public education, and more. Not good.
Washington lawmakers passed the Millionaire’s Tax this year and here's what Brian Heywood and his billionaire buddies are trying to steal from Washington families:
❌ REPEALING Nearly $3.5 billion in new revenue every year—generated from less than 1% of households
❌ REPEALING Real, sustainable funding for child care, early learning, K–12 education, and health care, with $150 million a year dedicated to early learning
❌ REPEALING Universal free school meals for Washington students
❌ REPEALING Expanding the income eligibility for the Working Families Tax Credit and removing age restrictions that hurt young adults and seniors
❌ REPEALING The removal of sales taxes on diapers and over-the-counter medicines
❌ REPEALING A pathway to reinvest in programs that have faced millions of dollars in cuts and delays

Tell Brian Heywood that we don’t stand for this - commit to protecting the Millionaires Tax today!
I’m voting to protect families in Washington and reject Initiative 645 on the ballot this November.
