Families have been facing child care struggles for decades, an issue that was further exacerbated by the COVID pandemic. Child care has long been been unaffordable and unattainable with many parents paying a third of their take home pay to child care and more than half of the country being classified as child care deserts—areas with an insufficient supply of licensed child care

This is why we are urging Congress to save child care for millions of families by passing emergency child care funding.
