The Southern Poverty Law Center was right¹ to designate Moms for Liberty as a hate group — even before a local chapter was caught quoting Adolf Hitler.² Moms for Liberty lies when they suggest they represent moms. In reality, they promote an agenda and use tactics that are abhorrent to America’s moms.³

Unfortunately, several presidential candidates are joining Moms for Liberty in Philadelphia this week. We need our current elected leaders to know that Moms for Liberty do NOT speak for us.

Dear Member of Congress,

In light of the recent extremist Moms for Liberty Summit, we are urging you to join moms across party and demographic lines who do not want a well-funded, vocal minority to be able to ban books from school libraries, isolate and stigmatize LGBTQ+ students, or deny students honest, accurate, age-appropriate history education. (Polls show the majority of moms in America reject the Moms for Liberty extremist agenda).

Moms work hard and deserve leaders in every political party who have our back by advancing the policies that give us the tools to build a good life for ourselves, for our children, and that lift the economy at the same time. We know how to solve the care crisis we collectively face. And we know it isn’t through hate and division.

You can demonstrate that you’re listening to the vast majority of moms in America by signing onto our proactive agenda so parents have the freedom to be there for our children and families when we’re needed most, to work and raise children at the same time, to choose what’s best for our families, to send our kids to schools where every child belongs and can thrive, and to be able to earn equal pay and a living wage. It’s well past time for policies that allow our children to have the best start in life, parents and care workers to thrive, our elders the best possible golden years, and our economy and businesses to succeed.
