Enough of Dirty Energy

Imagine not being able to give your children a glass of water to drink. Imagine not being able to cook for them, or telling them not to bathe or brush their teeth.

The recent spills of chemicals in West Virginia and coal ash in North Carolina into rivers that provide water to entire communities are just more examples of the dangers of relying on dirty energy.

Dirty energy threatens public health across the country each and every day. Coal-fired power plants collectively produce nearly 40 percent of the carbon emissions in the United States, pollution that provokes asthma and other respiratory illnesses.

We all know it's time to make our energy cleaner to protect the health of our families. Sign on to demand that power plants are as clean as possible!

I strongly support limiting industrial carbon pollution from all power plants.

Such new clean air standards will protect the health of American families -- especially our kids -- and fight climate change.

It’s our obligation to protect our children and future generations.

We need cleaner energy to protect our water and air
Imagine not being able to give your children a glass of water to drink. Imagine not being able to cook for them, or having to tell them that they can't bathe or brush their teeth because the water will make them sick. Imagine being pregnant and told that the water could be harmful to your pregnancy. It's terrifying.

We all know it's time to make our energy cleaner and safer to protect the health of our families. I just signed this petition supporting limits on carbon emissions from power plants. Would you sign too?

I just signed this petition supporting limits on carbon emissions from power plants. Because coal-fired power plants account for about 40 percent of the greenhouse gas emissions produced by the United States that cause climate change. You heard that right – 40 percent! Yet, this source is completely unregulated.

We can’t wait any longer. We need to put limits on power plant carbon emissions and begin doing something about climate change now.

Would you please sign the petition too?
