Bring a Seagull to vote!

A seagull, a pink suit, three daisy headbands, and a half-mile walk to the ballot box.

That’s how I voted this year!

True story.

A friend showed up in a seagull costume (Halloween test drive!), I wore my traditional pink voting suit, and three friends rocked daisy headbands. We played music, danced to Drop It Like It’s Hot as we approached the ballot dropbox, and somehow turned voting into a mini-parade.

And when I dropped my ballot in my vote-by-mail state? I literally jumped for joy. Caught some air, too! (My ankle complained that night.)

Because here's the thing: Voting with friends was WAY more fun than I expected. It was surprisingly wonderful, and you can vote in whatever way makes you smile too! Most importantly, when people see us voting, they're inspired to vote too. Plus, when you click this to show that you’re interested in bringing a friend to vote, we’ll put a dot for you on our map to inspire other people to vote too.

And wow, do we need that inspiration right now.

It's been hard. Really hard! Healthcare cuts. Threats to childcare. Rising costs. And my daughter has fewer rights than my mom had.

That part.

One election won't fix everything. But I believe with my whole heart that together, we can win healthcare for everyone, childcare for all, affordable food, gas, and goods; and restore our daughters' rights.

Wins are in our futures if we don't give up on democracy. If we don't give up on each other. And, if we all vote, and bring a friend or two to vote (and vote in future elections too).

So vote your way. In a suit, sneakers, a seagull costume, or whatever makes you happy.

And bring a friend! Or two! Or three!

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. But you don't have to wait until then to make your voice heard because you can vote early in most states.
