Host an Admin Party (Hangout) in April!
Ugh, I just finished my weekly budget, and my head (and my wallet) really hurts!
I bet you feel it too. Prices are going up everywhere—at the gas station, the grocery store, and for health insurance too. Seriously, since when did milk cost this much?! The math just isn't working for families right now, and we have the receipts to prove it.
I’m so frustrated I want to scream! But since screaming doesn't pay the bills, I’m doing something better instead.
I’m hosting an “Admin Party” hangout with my friends. We’re going to get stuff done and also gather our receipts to show Trump and Congress exactly how hard things are for families right now. We want to demand they make life more affordable for all of us. Are you interested in doing one too? Add your name!
What is an "Admin Party" hangout?
Have you seen these on social media? They look so fun! It’s just a bunch of friends getting together to finish their "adulting" to-do lists. Think:
- Sorting out weekly budgets
- Paying bills
- Planning meals and grocery lists
- Signing up kids for sports or camp
- And, take pictures of key bills or price tags to send them to Washington DC
You get your work done while hanging out with friends! This time, we’re also using our "political muscle" by sending our receipts to Washington, D.C.
The Details
- WHAT: Moms Have the Receipts! Spring “Admin Party” Hangouts
- WHEN: March 28 – April 12, 2026
- HOW: Sign up, and we’ll send you information, including a "party toolkit" with fun materials and tips.
- WHO: Parents all over the country!
Don't worry: We will remove all your personal information from the receipts before we share them.
We’re doing this in April so we can deliver the receipts to lawmakers in early May for Mother’s Day. We want to get stuff done together – and also show our elected officials the real stories of our families. Too many of them have no clue how hard it is to balance a family budget in 2026.
Let’s turn those boring chores into a fun hangout and make our voices heard at the same time.
