Strolling Thunder is headed to Raleigh–come join us!
This summer North Carolina is joining a national movement to bring attention to what babies—and families—need to thrive. In DC and around the country, families are joining Strolling Thunder rallies where parents and little ones grab their strollers and head to Congress and state capitols to tell policymakers it’s time to prioritize infants, toddlers, and their families and, in the process, build more vibrant communities and a more prosperous future for all of us.
Strolling Thunder is coming to Raleigh on June 7th, and we need you there! No experience necessary! There will be stroller decorating, a stroller rally where we'll walk around the General Assembly with our kids, and a playdate afterward perfect for little ones. Come join us!
When: Thursday, June 7, 2018, 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM EDT (Come for as much or as little as you can. The stroll around the General Assembly will begin at 10:30 with playtime at 11.)
Where: North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, 11 West Jones Street, Raleigh, NC 27601 (directly across from the NC General Assembly)
If you have a little one, you’ll bring your baby, your stroller, and your story, and we’ll help with the rest. Don’t have a little one, but care about ensuring our state’s youngest residents and their families can thrive? We need you there, too! RSVP to let us know you can join us and help bring the thunder to the NC General Assembly!
***Even if you can’t join us that day (which we hope you can, it’s going to be a lot of fun!), you can still show your support by signing our “welcome our new arrival” card. We’re going to be delivering new arrival announcements and chocolate stork candies to every lawmakers’ office to make sure they hear the news–it’s time to #ThinkBabies!
